FPA clinics named among "highest performers" for cervical, breast cancer screening
February 2010--Thirteen Fairview Physician Associates (FPA) clinics are named among the "highest performers" in the state for cervical and breast cancer screening for 2009. Setting the state benchmark at 100 percent for ordering Pap tests for women ages 24-64 are Southdale Ob/Gyn and Diamond Women's Center. Paul Larson Ob/Gyn was ranked third in the state for appropriately ordering mammograms. The rankings are part of a December report by Minnesota Community Measurement, an independent quality measurement organization.
Cervical screening
Thirteen FPA groups achieved an average of 80 percent screening or better of women ages 24-64 for Pap tests, and were among the top 28 out of 128 clinics in the state. Listed starting with the highest performers:
