Dave Moen, M.D., named president of Fairview Physician Associates
EDINA (April 6, 2011)--Dave Moen, M.D., has been named president of Fairview Physician Associates (FPA). Moen was appointed to the position by the FPA board and Fairview President and CEO, Mark Eustis.
In addition to his role as FPA president, Moen will continue to serve as Fairview executive medical director of care model innovation and network development.
“Dave is an emergency medicine physician with a passion for innovation,” says FPA Board Chair John Bjorklund, M.D., an independent family physician with Bloomington Lake Clinic, Bloomington.
“He develops collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the health care industry. Working with providers, health plans and employers, Dave has advanced many care model innovations aimed at delivering greater value to the patients and communities we serve.”
Moen emphasizes the role of independent physician groups and the contribution they make to the FPA network.
“I am excited to work with independent clinic partners to advance new models of care delivery and payment to improve the health of communities,” Moen says. “As we improve quality and patient satisfaction, we will help independent physicians continue to thrive.”
FPA is an Edina-based network of 1,200 independent, Fairview-employed and University of Minnesota primary and specialty care providers.
